WNTR Set is the very first edition of the new Sorare Set game mode. And quite frankly, after spending years on Sorare Pro, this already feels like one of the biggest gameplay changes the platform has introduced in a long time.

The idea behind the mode is simple. Collect cards. Build your collection. Push your streak as far as possible.

From Essence rewards all the way up to Gems and eventually the top reward of $1000 cash.

But once you actually start playing, you quickly realize the mode has much more depth than the typical onboarding experience people expected.

This guide covers everything you need to know about the launch version of the WNTR Set.

Accessing the WNTR Set

Like with any other Sorare Set edition, to unlock the WNTR Set, you first need to first own Set cards from that very edition.

You can obtain them through several different sources:

  • The onboarding pack
  • The daily free pack
  • Packs purchased using WNTR Essence
  • Packs purchased using Gems
  • Collect missions

Once you open your onboarding pack and collect your first cards, the game board unlocks automatically. And that is where the real progression begins.

The Onboarding

The onboarding board is designed to teach you how Sorare scoring works without overwhelming newer managers.

And I think this is one of the smartest parts of the entire mode.

Why? Instead of throwing you directly into complicated competitions, the game starts with three simple progression levels based on players’ previous performances. Each level has its own score target, and you can retry as many times as needed.

There is no punishment here. Just learning.

Card Requirements Per Level

  • Level 1 → 1 card
  • Level 2 → 2 cards
  • Level 3 → 3 cards

For example, if you need a player who scored over 50 points in their last match, you can simply look through your gallery and select someone in strong recent form.

If Marcus Rashford recently scored 65 against Real Sociedad, he immediately becomes a strong candidate for clearing the first level.

Then the difficulty gradually increases.

Level 2 might require combining two players to reach 100 total points… and suddenly you start understanding how lineup building works.

Miss the target? No problem. You swap players and try again immediately.

That instant feedback loop makes the onboarding experience considerably smoother than the older Sorare tutorials.

Streaks Board Explained

Once you finish onboarding, the actual game begins.

The Streaks Board is the core of the WNTR Set experience and it feels heavily inspired (frankly, because it is) by the Hot Streak system from Sorare Pro.

Each level requires you to submit a lineup of five players:

  • 1 Goalkeeper
  • 1 Defender
  • 1 Midfielder
  • 1 Forward
  • 1 additional outfield player

From there, everything revolves around reaching score targets based on future real-life performances.

How Streak Progression Works

  • Every level has a score target
  • You receive 4 lives per level
  • Every submitted lineup costs 1 life
  • Lineups lock once a player starts their match
  • You can submit lineups whenever you want

If your lineup reaches the required score, you immediately advance to the next level with all four lives restored. Well, here by immediately I mean no longer than 10-15 minutes which feels like “immediately” compared to the standard Pro mode.

If the lineup fails, you lose a life.

Lose all four lives… and the run resets back to Level 1.

What I personally like most here is the pacing. There is no waiting for an entire Game Week to finish. No weekly deadlines controlling your progression. You read fixtures, follow matches live, react quickly, and keep your streak moving forward.

With the right teams, you can climb multiple levels during a single football weekend.

WNTR Set Rewards

The deeper you progress into the board, the stronger the rewards become.

And importantly… there is no permanent finish line. You can complete runs repeatedly throughout the duration of the Set.

Reward Structure

  • Levels 1–2 → WNTR Essence
  • Levels 3–4 → Gems
  • Levels 5–6 → Real cash rewards

The final level rewards a massive $1000 cash prize.

That immediately gives the mode much higher stakes than many people expected from an onboarding experience.

And from my perspective, this is where the gameplay becomes seriously addictive.

You are not just grinding meaningless progression anymore. Every successful streak genuinely matters.

Cards & Player Categories

To build your roster, you collect players from:

  • Premier League
  • LALIGA
  • Ligue 1

Players are divided into different performance categories.

  • DNP → Rarely plays
  • Roster → Occasional minutes
  • Key → Regular starter
  • Star → High-performing Sorare player
  • Icon → Elite top-tier performer

The stronger your collection becomes, the safer your streak attempts usually feel.

But from my experience, depth matters almost as much as star power.

You need options… especially once injuries, rotations, and fixture swings start affecting your lineups.

Packs & Squad Building

Every day begins with opening packs.

And honestly, Sorare clearly understands how important that feeling is.

Because even though the gameplay revolves around streaks, the pack-opening experience becomes a huge part of the mode very quickly.

You receive one free pack every day, with additional packs available through gameplay currencies.

Pack Types

  • Bronze Pack → Purchased with WNTR Essence
  • Silver Pack → Purchased with Gems (boosted Star odds)
  • Gold Pack → Purchased with Gems (boosted Icon odds)

The higher the pack tier, the better your chances of finding top-level players.

And since both Essence and Gems are earned through gameplay, progression feels surprisingly accessible even for free-to-play managers.

Managers who want to accelerate their collection can also purchase Gems directly through the marketplace.

Club Collections & Bonuses

Every card you pull automatically contributes toward your club collections.

And this system is much more important than many managers initially realize.

The more players you own from the same football club, the bigger your collection bonus becomes.

For example, owning 15 FC Barcelona cards grants a 4% collection bonus.

That means if you use Lamine Yamal in your lineup, his score receives a 1.04 multiplier.

At higher streak levels, those extra percentage points become absolutely crucial.

Sometimes the difference between progressing and failing a run comes down to just a handful of bonus points.

Missions & Additional Rewards

Outside the main board, the WNTR Set also includes missions designed to reward consistent progression.

There are two main mission categories:

  • Daily Missions
  • Collection Missions

Completing them can reward:

  • Wheel tickets
  • WNTR Essence
  • Gems
  • Exclusive cosmetic rewards
  • Mystery gifts

The deeper you progress into the Set ecosystem, the stronger those rewards become.

And honestly… after spending years on traditional Sorare Pro, this mode already feels refreshingly different.

It is faster. More accessible. Less stressful.

IMPORTANT: Sorare already launched the next Set edition – Stellar Nights.

But at the same time, it still keeps enough strategy and progression depth to make the grind genuinely satisfying.

If this is the direction Sorare wants to take with onboarding and progression-based gameplay, the WNTR Set is a very promising start.
